NFT drop was a success

Pierre Gasly became the first ever Formula 1™ driver to drop NFTs and it was a huge success.

The direct sale NFTs of 350 units were all sold out within 15 minutes of its launch. Whilst the other 3 auction NFTs which were redeemable for a race worn helmet, VIP experiences, meet and greet, and several exclusive merchandise ignited a bidding war in the last minutes of the event on Saturday.

Pierre worked closely with Fantom in the past few months to release his very own NFTs last week on Artion. Fantom, which runs on a lower-energy consumption, proof-of-stake network in comparison to the crypto industry standards, allows their users a greener peace of mind. It featured all of his podiums and it was very well received as well as being a resounding commercial and branding success.

It was an inaugural introduction of Pierre Gasly and Formula 1™ to the Crypto community and it was met with open arms. A completely new set of audience was introduced to the sport and Pierre, and vice-versa as we saw some Pierre Gasly fans interacting with crypto and NFTs for the first time. This partnership was also picked up by several major news outlets, once again putting Pierre and Fantom of the crypto world in the mainstream spotlight.

The direct sale NFT was set at a very accessible price at $200+ as it was a token of appreciation to the fan, redeemable for a signed cap from the new merchandise range alongside an event exclusive t-shirt which is numbered according to the NFT edition purchased by the user.

Pierre has also indicated that there is much more to come from this partnership with Fantom and is looking forward to the potential of more exciting future projects.

Thank you for your continued support of Pierre Gasly.
